So long to this cold, cold part of the world
So long to this cold, cold part of the world
So long to this bone bleached part of the world
So long to this cold, cold part of the world
So long to this salt soaked part of the world
I stepped down as president of Antarctica
Can’t blame me, don’t blame me, don’t
So long to this sad, sad part of the world
Song reminds me of walking around in never ending darkness, then in that darkness you come across a camp fire and a old friend sitting there who died long ago.
Hahaha. Last time I heard this album, it was on I-90 around Auburn, miserable bone-chilling drizzly day, going home to Philly for either Thanksgiving or Christmas, whatever.
I've been listening to modest mouse for approximately 7 or 8 years now and I still come across a song I haven't heard before by them and they COMPLETELY blow everything else I've ever heard out of the water. I wish I could keep the feeling I get from the first time I listen to one of their songs forever. Even when it's new it feels nostalgic.
Why can I imagine this haunting and beautifully somber song in one of the credits sequences of Netflix's upcoming adaptation of the Series of Unfortunate Events? Does anyone agree?
I want this played at my funeral as loud as possible. This sone, this Band has helped me carry on. Sometimes helped me dwell in the pain but I am here and I made it. Modest mouse is my Demon fighting soundtrack
