I've been singing this song since I was 12 yrs old. Chilling in my grandmothers house listening to my uncles. Uncle Benny told me 'Son, if you ever find the woman of your dreams and she's able to look pass your flaws, make sure you'll never end up singing the tune right here with a raspy voice and an open bottle of scotch.' Couple months later Uncle Benny died in a car accident. At his wake my other uncles and older cousins began singing this song to his widow. Some say real men dont cry, but its been 16 yrs and I'll never forget ex-cons and Vietnam veterans tearing up like highschool girls at that moment....
