There's a snippet of the song "Memories" by Barbara Streisand at the beginning. This is a masterpiece and it is my favourite piece they've ever done. There is so much going on in it.
I, personally, would be disappointed if Puppy just started making drug-inspired music. Skinny Puppy has remained worthwhile because they're bigger than themselves.
Last Rights was something else. Nothing close to it can be recreated; trying to would just be disengenous. That was more like "drug induced psychosis"--it felt like they were about to pop at any second.
I like that Puppy always looks forward and not back.
My 2 cents :)
Beginning of this is just awesome, in the effects and all. I love the little credits on it, it may seem simple, but it's affective. I like how the smoke comes in quickly, that was neat. Strobe is nice, except ppl who have seizures from epilepsy probably couldn't watch their shows.Good thing I don't get it. I have yet to be to one of theirs (mostly due to my age/location esp. but I keep the faith that maybe they'll come to Nashville. I missed their GA show when it rolled through last yr. dang it)
