Someone in the original Alice Cooper Group was heavily influenced by this song. Listen to the chorus to Billion Dollar Baby and you will hear this song in it. ;)

The intro, where instruments gradually come up, shows sound engineer did a horrible work with the bass track... And I'm a bassy dude. Yet, all the rest is such an uplifting of a gem I should try to forget that, I guess?

It's interesting that this song by the Hollies, a group known for great harmonies, would have a song featuring just one voice, Graham Nash. I think I've listened to Dan Fogelberg's cover of this song, which he added lush harmonies to, many more times than this original version. Both versions are great in their own way.
