Remembering this song and romance in a cocktail lounge in Amarillo Texas....over 50 years ago!

This was the best song to dance to in McNulty's. Rockaway Beach in the summers of '61,2,3, and 4! Great memories!!!

Amen! The Kingston Trio always deserve applause. what does Howie expect for a free download? This ain't a fast food joint where you can have it your way. Upload the song yourself if you don't want to hear it or better yet, go buy the CD. Some folks just can't be satisfied. Even if you hung them with a new rope.

This song has so much awesome sauce that after it's over there's a minute and a half of applause.

Frank Sinatra was asked to cover this song, refused, said could not do it any better than Bob Shane.

As a guitarist, I am an absolute sucker for interesting chord progressions. Love the Major 7ths and 9ths. This one is among my very favorites. I also love the crooning of the early 60s. 

Bob Shane, the last of the original trio, just passed away at 85.

I have a great affection for this song, ever since I was 6 years old. I guess it was the birth of the blues in my life.   I'm a guitar guy and I owe it all to the Kingston Trio.  Nuff said.

When I was a child (I'm 65 now) I would swipe the best of my mother's record collection to keep in my room. This was one of my faves.

To this day when I play this in a bar, people can't believe they haven't heard it!! Great song!!
