I’ll be seeing you;
In all the old, familiar places;
That this heart of mine embraces;
All day through.
In that small cafe;
The park across the way;
The children’s carousel;
The chestnut tree;
The wishing well.
I’ll be seeing you;
In every lovely, summer’s day;
And everything that’s light and gay;
I’ll always think of you that way;
I’ll find you in the morning sun;
And when the night is new;
I’ll be looking at the moon;
But I’ll be seeing you.
imagine Opportunity receiving this last message, his wheels worn and battery tired from over 14 years of providing us more blessed information than we could ever ask for, playing this out loud against the vast silence that is the surface of Mars, the last thing he’d hear until he finally gives up.
jesus who knew I’d make a sad story abt a robot. thank you, Opportunity . for giving such a wonderful opportunity.
'll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through
In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children's carousel
The chestnut trees
The wishing well
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you
Sure, opportunity's death was sad, but let's not forget the unjust conditions Billie Holiday died under. After overdosing and being hospitalized, she was refused painkillers and arrested for drug possession while dying due to the racism of Harry J Anslinger, an FBN official trying to prosecute Billie. RIP Billie. Your music is inspirational.
rest in peace, opportunity. you lasted 15 years, when you were only supposed to last 90 days. you helped us find traces of water on mars. your last words were " it's getting dark and my battery is low." rest in peace.
I'm here because of Opportunity. Rest now, faithful little robot. Sleep among the stars, dream of electric sheep, and hopefully one day our decedents find you again.
After NASA lost the Opportunity Rover in a terrible dust storm on Mars they played this song in honor of that very special rover who found water on Mars
When this song was released, no one could have imagined that it would be the last song sent to a rover on mars. Goodnight Oppy. It has done more than anyone could have asked for.
Im pretty disappointed that everyones here for opportunity, i didnt even know about it till i read the comments. This song is extraordinarily beautiful and should be known for its loveliness.
