I am 15 and am a huge Springsteen fan, when all of my mates and the people who go to my school all listen to what's in the charts. I outcastes but wouldn't have it any other way!:)

Bruce Springsteen is the American dream. He comes from very humble beginnings, and made it big. He knows what it's like to be poor and to struggle. He knows what it's like for a family to need groceries and not have alot of money to buy them. We do take care of our own, and the boss never turned his back on us. Republicans don't have the monopoly on success or patriotism. In America, we all have a voice, Bruce Springsteen is simply amplifying many of those voices.

Seems especially relevant given the lackluster COVID-19 response from the Dump administration

I love Bridget Butler's comment up there! Good one! It will ONLY be through love, compassion and principles of human decency that we will truly see any change. Please join us! Random acts of kindness; treating the world like YOUR sweetheart; and building true communities and educating them on living in a more natural ways are some suggestions. All Blessings to YOU and as always sending YOU waves of laughter, joy, peace, and love!

The Boss still has it.  Few can use irony so effectively.

It's an admonition. He's saying that this is what we do. We take care of our own. Then he proceeds to ask why aren't we doing so--specifically referencing Katrina--"From the shotgun shack to the Superdome". He's scolding us. That's why Obama chose it as his 2012 campaign song.
