They are obviously influenced by Tool. However, Chevelle makes their OWN music. They have a blend of many influences to make an original sound. We can definitely say they are heavily influenced by Maynard and the boys, but we shouldn't take anything away from Chevelle either. They wrote this song along with dozens of others that in themselves are excellent.

I Saw These Guys With Disturbed, Puddle of Crudd, Shinedown and More But CHEVELLE, Three Dudes and A Completely White Backdrop Rocked Harder Than Anyone Else That Night. I;m Loving It!
