Coleman knew exactly what he was doing in the day, chords, melody, blues, alterations, the man was right there on the scene. He was greatness. He didn't have Sonny Stitt, Charlie Parker, Lester Young, all the greats to imitate. He was right there making all this stuff happen that we all call jazz.
This was the first and for several years the only version i knew of this tune. The funny thing is that, since then any other versions that follows the original accentuation, without the slight displacement of a eight note that Coleman does, for me all that versions are "wrong". Anyway it is the most swinging tune ever
