My mom played this a lot when I was a kid, just CCR in general. My favourite American band.

I got shot in the head and my memory is a bit scrambled, well my wife walked in with a bunch of cotton dropped on the driveway. She walked in and said Look, I got Cotton, at which I started singing this song, and everyone just shut up and was like Wow, What are you singing. I said No idea, I have no memory of this. Then we looked it up here and I know every word. Still don't know how or where I heard it, but it's a great song.

This song has been played by my dad on the day of christmas to wake me up, and since then I have loved to listen to it everytime.
