this song was on a local alt music station where they had a countdown at noon, locals would call and vote for the countdown, this song ruled the number one spot for over a year!!! You don't have a 90's alt music collection if this song is not included!!!!

Love this song, so much pain and anger. “I can’t smile” I can’t help to think that in this video Art is like an angel or death to the kid in this video. Notice how the kid never interacts with Art, and even the family doesn’t acknowledge Art. But Art is by the kids side throughout the whole video, as an observer, and a guide. It’s almost like Art died from his pain from losing someone and in this video he is portrayed as like an angel or spirit guide of some sort helping the little kid through what is definitely a loss in the family. Wow.

There's so much symbolism in this. The leaves changing represent the changes in life from childhood to adulthood. Then there's wanting to go back to life before all the bad stuff happened. This song is great on so many levels.
