This is the actual recording that was my first introduction to the great Gerald Wilson. At the I was following Groove Holmes when I was introduced to GW. Still one of my all time favorites. Yna Yna was a family pet.

Among my favorite big band artists especially the way he blended blues, Latin, and West Coast Swing. Moment of Truth is among other albums a favorite of mine and a classic! Always had the finest musicians. RIP

Wilson was a true jazz lover, not just a money maker, but an artist with real depth. He loved the chords of the big band sound, and was often original in interpretation. Wonderful music.
