Pagan religions as a whole were far more interesting when compared to modern religions. Within ancient Rome hundreds of religions co existed except the Christian God. Why? Personally I think it was the arrogance of his followers, consider this of all the ancient religions of Rome were tolerant of the others nor did they condemned the followers of other faiths. Only Christians (according to them) knew the "True God" and all others were fake. When Rome conquered a nation they permitted the worship of the Gods of that land, yes later they asked for homage to Caesar. Not until Christianity became the official state religion did they force the conversion to Christianity either by the word or the sword. Tell me do you really think the world is better off narrow minded and arrogant? More people have died in the name of the Christian God then all the none religious wars in recorded history. Fact do the leg work before denying this statement. ow many potential descendants of murder people were denied life? How may potential Einsteins did they kill and just how far might we have come with a far larger genetic diversity pool?
