No artist alive in this day and age will ever match her

we need to have the kids sing songs like this in school, instead of the "we shall overcome", etc. that they had us singing every Black History Month.

This song should an ANTHEM for black people.It is very relevant;and especially in this day and age.

Damn! Nina looks mad regal and beautiful up there on that stage rocking the hell out of that Afro! I often debate with my friends over which is the best version is the best. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Donny Hathaway and Aretha Franlin- as well as their awesome soulful renditions of this song. However, I think Nina's original version is more Ethereal than the other versions. Aretha and Donny took this song to Church, no doubt. But Nina took this song to the Heavens.Much Respect!!!!

I went to the new African-American museum in DC and they have a handwritten letter of hers in the music section. It felt so awesome to see something that she actually touched with her own hands. I love her.

She had such beautiful eyes and there is something about her when she talks, she seems innocent but wise at the same time, young but old. She was so earnest, its hard not to like her.
