Came in last night at a half past ten that baby of my wouldn’t let me in
So move it on over (move it on over) move it on over (move it on over)
Move over old dog cause the new dog’s movin' in
He changed the lock on our front door and my door key won’t fit no more
So get it on over (move it on over) scoot it on over (move it on over)
Move over short dog cause the tall dog’s movin' in
Well this doghouse here is mighty small but it’s better than no house at all
So drag it on over (move it on over) push it on over (move it on over)
Move over skinny dog cause a fat dog’s movin' in
Well he’ll crawl back to me on his knees but I’ll be busy scratchin' please
So scratch it on over (move it on over) pack it on over (move it on over)
Move over good dog’s cause a mad dog’s movin' in
Well remember up before you whine that side of door ain’t this side of mine
Si give it on over (move it on over) shake it on over (move it on over)
Move over cold dog cause the hot dog’s movin' in
Johnny Cash was crazy about her when she was on his road show in the early 60s. Of course he was pretty crazy in general in those days. She refused his advances, but it got so bad that she left the show.
That 1947 picture looks just like they dressed on KTRB Modesto every afternoon. I used to stop in the station to watch the shows. There was Chester Smith, Al Brown, and Maddox Bros and Rose. Thanks for posting, brings back good memories, when California was a 'GOOD' place to live.
