Vince Guaraldi was a genius, a very gifted jazz musician. Gone too soon.

This is a very melancholy song.

Listening to this song today, on Halloween, gave me chills. A wave of nostalgia had passed by as I watched the Charlie Brown Halloween special. Oh, how I wish simple times would come back.

It’s a shame that Schroeder isn’t on the album cover He’s the piano guy, after all

How does this song make me remember memories I never had...

This song is incredibly gorgeous and so sad to me. I once loved a girl with everything I had and in the end It didn’t work out like we both had hoped it would. I sent her this song explaining it was a perfect audio example of our relationship. I was the piano always trying to explain myself(sometimes frantically) she was the flute, lovely and gentle, the voice of reason. The guitar and the muted trumpet were outside observers of our relationship, both sympathizing and opinionated. Such a great song.
