Loved Waylon! Got his autograph at Mirage 1991 in Las Vegas, while he was standing between slot machines talking to Johnny Cash. Didn't see anyone around them about 10 am on a Sunday morning. Waylon was so nice and thanked me for asking for his autograph. I'm sure he didn't want me bothering him while he was talking to Cash, but he didn't show it. My mother pushed me to get the autographs or I would not have bothered them. I'm glad my mother persisted with me, and I grabbed a couple Mirage Hotel/Casino napkins for the autographs.

This man, Waylon Jennings, was my inspiration from the time I first picked up a guitar at 12 years old! I went to one of his concerts in Louisiana and loved every second of it! I actually met Waylon in a recording studio in Austin Texas and had the honor of backing him as second guitar. Down to earth man that never looked down his nose at anyone! I became a professional in the 1970's, following in his footsteps and type of "Out Law" music. The day Waylon passed, I openly wept. A HUGE loss to Country music. RIP Brother Waylon.

Year ago i was stuck in a rental rig on a 600 mile ride with only one Waylon cd so I listen to it for 8h. I thought ill never be able  to listen to him again, but he is still awesome.

My late Daddy was an electrician in the union and had to work away all the time. He loved Waylon. Waylon was always singing about states that Dad worked in- West Virginia, Ohio, etc.
