What these animals have done to southern statues and assorted historical items is criminal . You dont have to agree with the sentiment behind them but its your history and you should protect and respect it . history shapes not only the past but our future and without its images etc both good and bad ( depending on your stand point) we run the risk of making the same mistakes again . Not only the history but a lot of these memorials are erected to commemorate the brave men who gave their lives for something they believed in deeply . that alone deserves our respect . If you dont start thinking it will be to late . once things are destroyed they cannot be brought back . civil wars are the worst of any wars . brothers killing brothers . so much pain .
