I feel like some of these lyrics might be a reference to the lyrics on fragile, like the southern sky line, the ten true summers line, and the line referencing the eagle (as in South Side of the Sky and in Roundabout.) I don't know if this was intentional or not, but either way, neat.

ground breaking at the time, great album that was under appreciated at the time, but the instrumental playing was awesome,i saw them in 1979 after the albums release, they were just amazing live playing this album, except they didn't play release, release, one of my favorite songs by yes, what a bummer, but they were great live, best live band in the world.

Often underrated this album, which I have an LP signed by Rick W. I was a massive admirer of Chris, and this was my fave album for listening coming down from lsd after coming back from raves in the UK in the late 90's. This music is part of my soul, and the power of it is something of a glory. Hugs and condolences to all! xxx

I've only heard certain parts of this album, but judging by this tune alone, it probably isn't nearly as bad as people say it is.

Is this something kind of clue, or coded message? Is it just poetry? My intuition suggests to me that a true summers might be four years, leap year to leap year...And that 'ten true summers' then might be codespeak for 'forty years'... Just a stab in the dark.. please don't lump me in or try to label me as.oh, you're one of THOSE kinds of crazies. I'm not..crazy. Neither are THOSE kinds of crazies really crazy. If they are crazy, we need more of these kinds of crazy people. Because normal people will never change or save this world, this beautiful blue cosmic jewel, suspended in space, orbiting our sun. Home.

Me and my friends took this record LP up to the top of Yes Tor (yes it is s real place), in Oakhampton, and we played it with a portable, battery operated record player back in 1978. We did not get the expected UFOs but the cannabis and the hip flasks full of Scotch was good. We'd driven all the way from Brighton.
