Now I just got back from baby’s,
we been rollin' al night long.
I saidI just got back from baby’s,
we been rollin' al night long.
She comeon likes and loves me,
but I feel like somethin' wrong.
Now, sometimes I go se baby,
and sometimes she come see me.
I said, sometimes I go se baby,
and sometimes baby come see me.
I got a funny, funny feelin'
I’m not the only man she sees.
Now, I just got back from baby’s,
big white house on the hill.
I said, I just got back from baby’s,
big white house on the hill.
If her lovin' don’t get me,
I know her husband will.
When a song starts out with, "Douse that light..", you know they're going to get dirty ;)
What kind of soulless lamerod would give this song a thumbs down??... nevermind.. I answered my own question. A soulless lamerod would.
This is one of their best songs ♡
This whole album is arguably the best blues rock song collection ever made. Every song, every lick, every progression is a lesson on its own. The guitar tone is ageless and tasty as well. Just an amazing showcase of ZZ Top's musicianship.
Billy's voice is as soulful as anyone who ever sang the blues- his guitar playing is sultry Dusty laid down a backbone - that was "Oh lord". Frank laid down a time that the metronome would be proud of. 3 piece blues bands should use this song as scripture. it don't get any better - we been running all night long
I saw z z top in Memphis Tn not long after this album came out. It was at a warehouse somewhere in Memphis, nothing but a huge metal building, no air, no seats they gave you a piece of carpet to sit on when you went in. Great show i will never forget it!!!!
I love how they named the album "ZZ TOP'S FIRST ALBUM" , like they knew there would be another ! To this day, I say what Billy say's , just before he starts playing, "dowse that light". No band pics. on the cover, just a pic. of Billy's Gibson Les Paul.
