What I wouldn't give to play like Koss or sing like Paul, the MOST underated band of an entire generation.

In my humble opinion, "Oh I Wept", was Free's best song......

I cannot believe that Free is not a publicly known band in my generation. I am 20 and love Free. Paul Kossoff is a huge influence in how I play guitar. RIP Paul, you will not be forgotten by this man.

I'm 56. My sons friends call this "Dad rock". I dont care. I was so very young when I first heard Free, and that was THE day I asked for a guitar. I wanted, and STILL ( 43 years later ) try to play like Paul Kossoff. One of my all time inspirations. Today I have a full studio, and honestly still play "Child" and so much more from this band. Truly raw, blues rock in its truest form, bar none. Zep hasn't got anything on these young men. Imagine, still in their teens and early twenties making this kind of magic. AND, Paul Rogers, in my opinion, THE greatest rock vocalist of all time. Time is the true test of pure talent. There are many great vocalists that should have stopped decades ago, yet you can watch Rogers sing today, and he STILL sounds like he did when he was 19....Paul Kossoff and Free is and always will be, my greatest inspiration as a guitar player. Younger guys need to understand, that pure blues rock, wasn't meant to be "pro tools" sterile and perfect. Soul out weighs technical perfection, by a million times......

Few beers with the boys. Game of cards & Free on the turntable. Plenty of air guitar & posing about. Never let this band be forgotten. Great days for proper music.

This as smooth as rock gets. So soothing and, yet, enlivening in a way too.

Listened to Black Crowes. No comparison. Free are 10 times better, smooth and more professional.

First one here from Devs. Old enough to remember when this came out. Never sorry I grew up during that generation of music.

It's timeless, they just didn't get enough credit for this, 40 odd years on tells you how good it is!!
