FYI, am 70 now and still have several of the 45s that this song was on 1 side. Some are simply worn smooth.

I've been listening to Gene Pitney since my high school days and I've never heard this song before. Now I can't stop listening to it. Nice song. Rest in peace, Mr Pitney. You have no idea how much you are missed.

This was the first record I EVER played on a Juke box. I was 14, it cost 3d, it was in a cafe in Bridport on our way back home from a family caravan holiday in West Bay. It brings back wonderful memories of happy days. Wow!

Gene Pitney was one of the most underrated singers ever, Britain adored him, and he had a powerful God given voice, outstanding!

Loved his songs growing up in the 60s-I met him while I was working the grave shift at a small mom and pop store back in 1976-he was traveling to do a show in Allentown Pennsylvania and he stopped for some Dristan Sinus Medicine cause he had a bad headache-he purchased the medication-a pack of Juicy Fruit Gum-a Butterscotch TastyKake Krimpet  and a Ma's Old Fashioned Can of ice tea-he pulled out a $5 Bill and signed it and gave it to me-Dear God I still treasure that $5-RIP-Gene-Paul was here-04-28-16.

I have many happy memories of meeting Gene back in the 60's, the loveliest guy ever with the wackiest sense of humour! :)

Great number. Those were the days when beautiful songs were sung and played on everyone's mind.

Gene Pitney, after Elvis, the most emotive white singer to grab my attention as a 12 yr. old music fan. It wasn't cool to be a Pitney fan in 1964/65, but along with my Beatles and Stones and Pretty Things LPs, I bought all of Gene's because I just loved his distinctive singing style. Will always be a fan and this song is my favourite of his.

Reckon this is my favourite Gene Pitney song and he did so many that I loved.

Saw him in person and he was great, such a wonderful voice. Gone too soon.
