Takes me waaaaaaay back, to sitting in my bedroom at my parents flat in 1980, windy and rainy outside. Playing this (b-side of GTP) on an old Dansette monophonic record player.
In Canada, this track was pressed as one of the B-side tracks to the 12" version of "The Art of Parties." It was a perfect contrast to the artful insanity of the A-side.
I have an original 45 of this...with the photocover....I wonder if it's a collector's item.
I love this and the flip sitde, which is width of a room. I can just imagine a lit swimming pool at night the water rippling...you get the idea
The reason I even know this track is because it was used often in the highly obscure (like "Miracle Mile"-tier obscure) 1985 film "Static" about a man who works in a crucifix factory (likes to keep the defective ones that get spit out) and copes with parent's untimely death in pig-ignorant rural town by claiming he built a "window view into heaven".
omg i dont know how long i have been searching for this. months of trying every name and every lyric i could remember. this was played in my neuropsyhology class for an expermient and i fell so in love with it
