Oh, rock me, hey
Yeah
Rock me, baby, rock me all night long
Rock me all night long
Rock me, baby, rock me all night long
Want you to rock me like my back ain’t got no bone
Roll me, mama like a wagon wheel
Roll me, baby like you roll a wagon wheel
Rock 'n' roll, mama
Won’t you rock me, mama?
Know how it could have made me feel
Rock me, baby, rock me slow
Rock me on till I can’t rock no more
Rock me, baby, rock me all night long, hoo
Once you rock me like my back ain’t got no bone
Yeah, rock me Yeah?
Rock me, mama, rock me slow
Rock me, baby, till I can rock no more
Rock me, baby, rock me all night long
Rock me all night long
Want you to rock me, baby, like my back ain’t got no bone
Yeah
I saw Johnny Winter and Rick Derringer at the Santa Monica Civic in 1969. They made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Johnny looked like an apparition floating across the stage with his long white hair flowing behind him. Being an albino, he proved that blues and soul has no color.
I got to see him in ...Iowa, of all places. He was asked by a lady for an autograph and he started her a whole letter.. Since I was so close I had the chance to yak at him for some ten, fifteen minutes. Believe me, Mr. Winter had the most down to earth and common attitude I ever saw in such an incredible musician. Poor Dude was not in good health, and when he came out to the stage, he had three roadies carry him out on a chair, and I thought, "ah, shit, this is gonna be a real bummer" but as I talked a bit to him, he was so fulla confidence, courtesy and those things so common in folks from near the earth that I just KNEW he was gonna BE THE SHIT! Dude started with Red House and just cooked the rest o' the show. ,..!
Johnny Winter will always be IMO, LORDGODKING of the TEXAS BLUES FOUNDATION... SRV looked up to the man... and now we all do.... ROCK ON BIG JOHN......
Got to see him live twice. Once when I went to see the Allman Brothers, and the second time his own show. Played his music all the time in the Barracks, loud. '70s
Saw him at a casino a few years back. He signed so many autographs, and such long ones I thought he was gonna forget to play. But then he started with Red House and wailed just like this for an hour and a half. Best blues man I ever seen.
