My dad had the Best of Mountain in the mid 70's on 8 track and was amazed at the melody and soulfulness of every song on it!

This whole album was stunning, but this song sends me into a place that is hard to describe. Phenomenal melody, and really moving piano. Felix Pappalardi was nothing short of an absolute genius! I don't blame the person who said it makes them sad. It is a very moving tune and I must admit that I break out instantly with blubbering tears pouring. Touching...touching.

Ya, that's one of the things I loved about this band. They did have a unique sound. This was a great album, every tune perfect. I grew up playing drums to this stuff.

I LOVE Ozzy Osbourne's story about how the first time he ever snorted coke was in 1969 with Leslie West when Black Sabbath opened for Mountain on their first American tour.

Saw Mountain, Black Sabbath, & Humble Pie at Phila. Spectrum 1970. Sold out show, about 1,000 outside without tickets, broke down the doors and streamed in (us among them). Pot/cigarette haze so thick you could barely see the stage from the other end of the arena. Great show.
