The COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China develops into a worldwide pandemic and makes its way to the US. Minnesota schools shut down in March. I arrive at my school to gather all of the important stuff from my locker. The school is empty and eerie. I get into my car and turn on the radio. I listen to brown eyed girl as I drive through the empty, ghostly streets of my hometown.
i miss summer. running around in the meadow. making friendship bracelets and trading. getting up early and chores. and people. i miss the hike to the waterfall. i miss morning singing and campfires. most of all i miss the people. the air. i would do anything to live that again.
For those who say that green, blue or whatevaa is rare hear this out, Have you ever seen brown eyes in the sun? you don't always notice it at first but you'll see that "brown" no longer describes them. They melt into golden rays, circling an eclipse. There's nothing boring about brown eyes, not even when the later hours encroach; they just turn into a sunset of their own. They are copper against honey and shade and when they water they glow, two perfect orbs the same shade as nature after it rains. By the way my eye color is blue, but damn i love brown eyes!
We lost our brown eyed girl yesterday. Our beloved brown eyed Siberian Husky Dana has gone to a better place when she can run and play. Been listening to this all day over and over thanks for allowing me to remember the good time we shared with her.
This song is for my brown eyed girl Delilah. She is a beautiful browned eyed pitbull. We belong together. I love you Delilah so much! Don't ever leave me.
Me and my dad used to dance around the house to this song blasting from his giant 1990s stereo system that took up a whole dang wall. We would face each other, hold hands and twist around. He was spin me and swing me around and sing to me. It’s one of my favorite memories! I didn’t see him much as he worked out of state, but he made the most of what we had when he was home. Even if we had no money, he made sure we made memories. If you ever see this, I ❤️ ya Papa
