As one I’ll meet the mortal memories
Reliving seeking silence
And know that I as just a shell outside
Have sacred joys inside me No fear, nor fight, comforting silent side
So free, through flight, comforting silence
CHORUS
So I call on Sri cosmic sea, all is within you
As in a dream, I’m but a wave to…
Infinity within thy consciousness
An ever expanding sphere
Immortal spark ignites
Spreads by the air of bliss
Embracing warmth that heals
No fear, nor fight, comforting silence
So free, through flight, comforting silent side
CHORUS
Their bassist has the same time as johann de farfalla from the early opeth days. Which makes me happy cause that dude will never play bass ever again, and I need that tone in my life.
Probably the best song I've ever heard. fascinating!
As one I'll meet the mortal memories
Reliving seeking silence
And know that I as just a shell outside
Have sacred joys inside me
No fear, nor fight, comforting silent side
So free, through flight, comforting silence
So I call on Sri cosmic sea
all is within you
As in a dream
I'm but a wave to...
Solo: Jason Gobel
Infinity within thy consciousness
An ever expanding sphere
Immortal spark ignites
Spreads by the air of bliss
Embracing warmth that heals
No fear, nor fight, comforting silence
So free, through flight, comforting silent side
Solo: Paul Masvidal
So I call on Sri cosmic sea
all is within you
As in a dream
I'm but a wave to...
Superbly put. To doubt the swing , and offbeat emphasis in Reinert's playing is just foolish. Listen to veil of maya, the number of syncopated passages!
I dont think either band death nor cynic influenced each other because when sceam bloody gore was released 1987 cynic had just formed so I think two badass bands came out at the same time only cynic had pure demos and cynics demos like 90 91 give deaths albums some comp in forms of technicality and cynic makes tool look like highschool kids.
The solo section, and the accompanying music during, is basically the exact musical representation of a mind-break, the shattering of reality. You can literally hear the final, painful strain as you rip through the chains and break free of dimensional constraints :)
