MY GOD, Cynic really execute their passion for music in this track.

This album is a real hidden gem. I was just exploring for some brutal death metal tonight, And somehow, I ran across this. While if you are strictly for brutal death metal, This may not be for you. But to me, This is a treat to the ears. There are very few metal bands that can pull off so much depth , So much emotion. Dare I say, Soul? Yes. Soul. This album has it. I will be exploring some of their other works. This is a near perfect blend of death metal and atmosphere. In its own right, It creates a totally new breed of music that cannot be categorized. Well done.

Inspire us to build a new world, one in which famine, disease and ignorance will be only memories of a dismal past! Also, I think the synthesized vocals were simply perfect for Cynic's style. I do like Paul's cleaner vocals, but I think Focus is where it's at.

Does anyone know of any bands with a similar sci fi thing going on? I listen to a lot of metal and I've never come across anything like this band.

a higher pitched nasally male voice I like is Billy Corgan. the ones here are just distractingly bad

On Focus, the Chapman stick is only played on Textures throughout the whole song, besides the bass solo There isn't any Stick on this song (though Sean did play Stick live sometimes for this song, you can check it on my channel)

they should change their style into orgasmic metal !! listening to this band is too much for my health !!

Only because you're used to what is expected in vocals. These guys are revolutionary. If you're not open minded don't expect to catch on.
