I love Deep Purple; they are my second favorite band of all time. Ian Gillan has the best voice in rock ever in my book. How does he sing so high? And Jon Lord has got to be the best rock keyboard player ever in my book as well. Ritchie Blackmore, for his part, changed guitar. He brought the neo-classical guitar style one step closer, and he had great feel and attitude. I love that he used his left-hand pinky finger to a great extent in his soloing, and I love his use of the Harmonic Minor Scale and the Phrygian Dominant mode. Lazy is a great song and a great classic. Deep Purple rocks!
