Peeping round her door I got a big surprise —
Couldn’t see a thing but open skies!
They’ve taken her away, where is she now?!
Wish that she was here, I wish she’d hold my hand.
Maybe she could laugh, maybe — understand!
Why was I so cruel, where is she now?!
Acting like a fool I had to make her cry,
Maybe I’m a Leo but I ain’t no lion!
I’m hurting oh so bad, I want her now!
This song was the less significant one from this album and it would be a strong song in any other album. That just gives you an idea of how good DP were
the difference between ian paice and bonham is that bonham was a drummer who learn it on the street and paice is a technician from academy, and i love both of them excuse my english i'am belgian .
Roger Glover wrote the riff for this excellent track. I remember he mentioned Lennon's How Do You Sleep? in an old interview and how he wanted to do something that didn't start on the down beat. They played this song on the 1972 tour and also the 1996 one.
