Such an underrated LP...'though being an early fan of the band, I really liked this one..

Funnily enough, the review in Kerrang! was a good one! The Appreciation Society, though, were NOT fond of the album. I still enjoy the whole record. This is a great song indeed.

Ritchie loves JLT. Blackmore even considers this album one the best DP albums ever lol.

?? The only DP albums Coverdale did with Blackmore was Burn and Stormbringer. This is Joe Lynn Turner... done about 20 years after those albums

They should have released this as the single with Love conquers All as the B-side! But it was written by Joe so the others wouldn't have got any royalties-maybe?

Very under rated album. I got it when it was new, and definitely think it is one of the strongest post "Perfect Strangers" Deep Purple efforts. It could have easily been a Rainbow release.

Rithcie was truly inspired on the last DP tour and the band played some of their best ever gigs. They were not tired of Ritchie. Ritchie was tired of Ian Gillans vocals. He tried to put up with him but couldn't so he did the right thing for him personally and left. He wanted a new Band which he got,but was forced by management to call it Rainbow. Album was excellent as were the gigs-much better than Deep Purple's with Morse. And then he started Blackmores Night with Candy.

this sounds more like a "Rainbow", but it is much better than those who call themselves these days call Deep Purple
