I know this song was about the death of steven Biko and what an absolute shame as to what happened to him he did not deserve the pain he served at the hand of the police it a brutality and barbaric I have seen the film cry freedom which was his life story of Biko and when I heard simple minds playing this song it is so heart felt a emotional I just want to praise Jim Kerr for singing such a heartbreaking song well done mate I love you as one of the greatest singers in Scottish music xxxple xxnds Colin Corcoran

The brutal circumstances of Bico's death led to a worldwide outcry. Biko became a symbol of the resistance movement against the apartheid regime. Racism is the worst thing there is and today is still very high ( Martin Luther King - Nelson Mandela - Steve Biko - without you would never have been the beginning.

As good as anything done by U2. This band is sensational. Kerr's vocals were always powerful and emotional...and not ponderous and self-serving. Love those bagpipes & thunderous drums...wow.

Like the original. But this is better. Beefed up production & Jim Kerr is in fine voice. A long song but does not outstay it's welcome.
