Simple Minds early records are some kind of bewildering but pretty interesting. I think Empires and Dance became much more concrete in its musical approach with real red wires. Sons and Fascination and Sister remains nothing more than masterpieces (as far as I'm concerned). MA SON WARM LAND SEMI MONDE

This sounded very novel to us in 1979. The drums mighty, the sawtooth synth line, and the guitar used a texturizing instrument that sometimes reminded on urgent alarm sounds. This and Premonition with its mighty bass, the backbone of what later became their sound.

Frenzy dark and repetitive that was their special trademark I think Minds were incredibly special with special eyes and visionaries.
