I love this song. It sounds slightly sinister, slightly depressing, slightly mysterious. I feel like the 2004 version made it more uplifiting than it should have been,,,

The drums, vocal harmonies, dissonant percussion, that french horn middle-eight. Everything is pure beauty

Beach Boys' out takes of this period are not fragments, to me. These are perfectly realized tunes. Incomparable.
